As we mentioned over the weekend, The Quinn Spinn’s first episode of 2020 will feature Nashville-based rocker Josh Mack when it drops a week from today on Monday, January 6.

Josh has been quite prolific throughout 2019, releasing a total of 30 songs to Spotify. These include The Justus Tapes, an 10-track acoustic re-imagining of songs from Mack’s full length, full band effort, The Giant Killer. The acoustic album strips down the originals to their roots, allowing the listener to dig into the musicianship behind each track.

For an example, let’s go with Justus Tapes opener, “Emerald Green,” as today’s Daily Spinn. We think you’ll enjoy the intricate guitar picking alongside a bluesy, gravely vocal from Mack, which work in tandem to expose the tune’s raw, honest grit.
